How long we keep things

Your account and its content, for as long as your account exists.

Personal data after you ask us to close your account: deleted or anonymised within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer. Content you contributed to a shared workspace may remain visible to that workspace's other members, because it is part of their record of the work.

Invoices and accounting records: six years, as tax law requires.

Session and security records: 12 months.

Agreement records, which show which version of the terms you agreed to: for as long as your account exists and six years afterwards.

Product events and feedback from the pilot: six months.

Audit records of who changed what: three years, so that a dispute about a file or a workspace can be answered.

What happens when you leave

Closing your account is a request to us rather than a button, during the pilot: write to privacy@minteller.com from the address on the account. We will confirm what will be deleted and what will be kept, and why, before we act. Your workspaces do not disappear from the other people in them; your name on the things you contributed is replaced.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it to another provider. You can object to processing we do on the basis of legitimate interests, and you can withdraw consent where we relied on it.

Much of this you can do yourself in the app: edit your profile, download your files, delete content, end your active sessions, and turn optional consents off.

How to ask

Write to privacy@minteller.com from the address on your account, saying which right you want to exercise. We will reply within one month. If a request is complex we may take up to two further months, and we will tell you if so. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we release anything.

If you are not happy

Tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
